Madison and Horse

Sometime has passed. Much has happened.

I have been working on mostly sketch's and studies for new paintings.

Here's a painting I completed in the near past. This is my niece Madison and her horse. I Painted with oils on Linen board.

The painting is 22" x 28".

  1. Hey, Marla. I'm out here. Working hard in class and on pieces at home. Doing my first landscape. That's exciting (and challenging). I love this piece. Madison's figure is balanced and contrasted beautifully by that big horse. Very successful.

  2. Thank you so much Marla for painting this of Madison and her beloved pony "Buckalina". It is just amazing. You have captured them both so perfectly! As you know I was moved to tears when I first saw it. Everyone who looks at it is amazed and cannot say enough about it. xoxo Mad

  3. I decided to search Buckalina, my best friends horse, and found this! I'm one of Madison's best friends. Her horse looks so adorable! This is a very nice painting. I myself am very artistic and have been drawing canines my whole life. I decided today that i would attempt to draw a horse. It took all day with my Photoshop and tablet, but I finally finished it. I think it's my favorite piece so far. I am currently 13.
