More Animal and People Paintings

Here's a new one.

With the urging of some fellow well trusted artists I have attempted to leave this painting a little unfinished. This was difficult as I originally planned to have the woman in this painting wearing a red dress. So be it. Here it is. Baby Bear, my cat makes his debut in this painting.

" The Owl and the Pussy Cat" is an oil on linen and it is is 24" x 30".

People and Animals a paintng or two

Let's just say I've decided to bring more people together with animals.

Animals are a strong element in my life. I love them and would like others to love them as well. So here I go bringing animals and people together in my paintings.

The first Painting is "Sky Hunters". Nancy runs a raptor sanctuary here in San Diego. She rehabilitates injured raptors and releases those that are able to be returned to the wild back into the wild and cares for those that are too injured to be returned to the wild for the rest of their lives. The painting has been done in oil and is 14" x 18" on linen board.

The second painting " Never More" is a model I had painted from a few times and improvised by adding a raven. I used oil and gold leaf. The size is 14"x 18" on linen board

They say It's Alright

"They Say it's Alright" is a 16" x 20" oil on canvas.
Does she look familiar?

I worked on the painting some more. I wasn't happy with the seemingly blue circles around my eyes and the colors in the photograph were not correct..

If you are interested in one of the paintings on this blog or would like a painting done you can email me. Just click on the link that says "see my complete profile" or the link that says "get your pet portrait here" and that look for email under contact and click on it.

Recent Painting

This is a portrait of a friends grandchild. The painting has left me with a feeling of unfinished and uncomfortable that gnaws at me but for some unexplained reason I choose to keep it this way.

Oh yes, I won an award, 3rd place for figurative painting at the Kruglak Gallery in Oceanside Ca.
