Wolf Painting

 Here's the start of a 30" x 24" oil on linen of a Wolf.  I'm learning a lot from a workshop I just attended with Johanne Mangi , a phenomanl artist, as well as instructor.  The process:

 I've been working on this Tiger in a workshop I've been taking with Johanne Mangi....such a good artist..

This is a 20" x 16" oil on linen.

Having some fun...Camouflage Rabbit

 This is a mixed media, acrylic and oil on canvas   20" x 20"  fun.

I photographed this rabbit on my front yard and have been wanting to paint her for some time.

So here she is.   

Also I have Amber shellacked some birchwood for another day. I intend to use this substrate to make a few more paintings of this rabbit. 

Getting Close...More work on the Tiger painting

 Almost there.....time to let it sit for a couple of days..let it resonate.

 Almost done....This means getting close...how long will it be and how much more.....we'll see.

The year of the Tiger

"The Year of the Water Tiger begins on February 1st, 2022, and as with all Tiger years, it will prove to have many qualities that the Tiger possesses—dynamic, engaging, and unexpected".

I'm working on this 30" x 24" oil of a Tiger named Maverik...in celebration of his short sweet life. He was rescued off the streets of L.A as a cub and lived happily at Lion Tigers and Bears... He came to an unfortunate sudden end when accidentally he came in contact with another Tiger and...well he died.

So here it is the preliminary drawing and a few days worth of painting.
