 I almost gave up on this one, was ready to scrape the canvas clean...but something, somewhere inside me urged me to continue.   So I did and I sure am glad.

 I've been working on quite a few commissions. Here's one on a cradled birchwood panel. Having fun with this one.  It's a  9" x 12" oil.   Almost done.

I've been working on a variety of creations. Here are a few:

 Tokie and Sparkle on a 12" x 12" ceramic tile painted in oil using mostly pallet knife.

Tokie heart...oil on ceramic heart tile.

Steve and Dexter....almost done.  16x20 oil on linen board.

 So here's a couple of foxes I've been working on.   The first one done with pallet knife only...quick rough sketch.  The second I'm still working on.  Both are oil on linen.

 It's been awhile since I've posted.  Not because I haven't been productive just tortoise like in my posting.

Also the Los Angeles Zoo reached out to me to help in their conservation efforts so I sent this painting to them recently....

Lynx Painting

 This is a 16' x 20" oil on clear gessoed linen.   Started this one in the mid tone department and have been expanding out to more contrast.  How vivid to make the colors...Do I gray them down...hmmmm

Good news is I'm having fun.  So here it is so far a Lynx in the garden..pretty close to done.

 This is a 16" x 12" oil on linen.  The linen was gessoed with a clear gesso.  

Another painting....Process continued.  

Each painting I create furthers my understanding and abilities to get closer to what I want.  What I want changes as I progress.      Yes, Im enjoying the journey.

Here it is  almost done..maybe one more day of attention.

 I finished the first painting of 2021.

I hope I've done Gracie justice. Gracie is a wolf I photographed at a wildlife photography workshop in Montana.

Perhaps this is a reflection of this new year.....hmm

New discoveries mixed with slight lingering doubt...Stronger currents of "I'll be Me"
