Painting Abstracts

I've taken another road.....Abstracts.  Very enjoyable and freeing. Here's a few I've been working on.
Mixed media. Oil, Acrylic, Goldleaf on various substrates .

Crows with gold leaf acrylic and oil paint

This is a 24 x 36 mixed media.  Gold leaf , acrylic and oil applied with pallet knife and brush.

Not done yet.  These crows were gathering one morning...loud and lots.  Having fun with this one. Enjoying color and texture.

Mr. B Bear...A Cat Painting

Done.  Oil on Canvas.    This here is Baby Bear painted on a 16" x 12" stretched canvas. I used both Pallet knife and brush .

Not too many colors...

Here's another painting I'm working on. Keeping it loose....
Enjoying the contrast and subtleties simultaneously.

Bear time

So I started working on this Bear using oil paint and pallet knife on wood.  Perhaps I got too ambitious and added too many colors...we'll see.

Progressing slowly...no rush.

 This painting is 20" x 24" which is small for such large beings.
I'm enjoying working on the wood surface.


 So here it is...almost done.
