It takes time and energy to create.

One of life's super blessings. A mother and child. Here is a Mountain lion Mom with one of her kittens.

More work on the new Deer

Working on creating movement with color and strokes.  Movement creates a stream of color..whether bright or dull it depends on the intent or experience of the energy required for the action.
So here she is...Another Perspective another movement requiring a different action.

Another Deer for the new year

Different observation...This is a 16" x 20" oil on linen. Day one of painting.
I actually tried a Grid for the first time and found it saved time on my drawing.  Will do this again.

Next painting of the New Year A Deer

I met this deer one September afternoon in Montana. Strolling through a park with a fellow artist/friend we saw this deer with two of her young'n. She seemed to instruct her kids to go ahead and hide while she would deal with these curiosities.

So here she is. I just worked on her one day so far and still have some more work to go.

12" x 16" Oil on linen.
